Mr. Pavaiya was addressing the 68th Raising Day and Honor ceremony organized by Family Planning Association of India (FPAI), Gwalior branch.
While addressing the function organized at the Community Hall campus of Kanchmil on Sunday, Shri Pravia said that education and medical services are such tasks which are not possible only through the government. It also involves involvement of society and private institutions. The Family Planning Association of India is doing commendable work in this direction. He said that Gwalior branch of FPAI has been imposing maternal and infant mortality rates, providing health care services to the needy, and providing effective and creative work. He said it is a matter of happiness that in the resamble area, FPAI is going to start its own branch, this will help the financially vulnerable families of this region.
On this occasion, the Minister of Higher Education honored the FPAI with a memento on the occasion of nearly two dozen social workers working in the field of health and social service. Initially the lamp lighting ceremony was inaugurated by the guests.
Dr. Roza Olyai, member of the National Executive Committee of FPAI also expressed her views at the function. He highlighted the activities of FPAI at the national level. Dr. Olyai said that the marathon competition is going to be held under the auspices of FPAI in Mumbai in the month of January, in which Gwalior residents can also participate in this.
The reception was given by Dr. H. S. Sharma, Secretary, FPAI, Gwalior Branch. He said that 40 organizations of FPAI are working across the country, out of which four are working in Madhya Pradesh. There are four branches operating in the city by the Gwalior institution of FPAI. Dr. Ashok Sharma, Chairman, FPAI Gwalior Branch also holds his views.
