Gwalior dated 22.03.2017 - Mayor Shri Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar today held a meeting of Corporation Council for the financial year 2017-18 for the income of Rs. 15,00,07,94,500 / - (fifteen billion, seven lakh, four hundred thousand, five hundred) The expenditure incurred by the commissioner and Rs.15,30,16,98,750 / - (fifteen billion, thirty million, sixteen lakh, ninety thousand thousand, seven hundred and fifty) shall be increased by Rs.15,45,99,55,000 / - (fifteen Expenditure and protection of billions, forty five crore, ninety nine lakh, fifty five thousand) The total expenditure is Rs.15,57,54,24,375 / - (fifteen billion, sixty-five crore, including 15% of the total amount of funded income, 11,54,69,375 / - (eleven crore, Chavan lakhs, seventy five thousand, three hundred seventy five) The budget of losses of Rs 57,46,29,875 / - (seventeen crore, sixty four lakh, 25 thousand, eight hundred and seventy five) has been proposed unanimously in this way, Chavan lakh, twenty-four thousand, three hundred seventy five.
After the budget speech, the Chairman, Mr. Rakesh Mahor instructed that on March 24, 2017, at 5.30 pm, the council can submit its amendment to the Council of the Council. After this the meeting was adjourned for 27 March 2017 till 3.00 pm.
Mayor Shri Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar said while presenting the budget speech that while presenting the second budget of his second term, today I am feeling proud of presenting my third term of my tenure. I have been making this effort that with the belief that the people of Gwalior have sent me and my colleagues to come and stand by them. The year gone is a year of achievements for the Gwalior city. Being successful in tough competition, Gwalior has joined the Smart City project, thanks to the credit for all the citizens of Gwalior, brothers and sisters, who gave their suggestions for this. The municipal administration, public representatives and the people of Gwalior have got this golden opportunity to accelerate the development of Gwalior. To give this opportunity to Gwalior I express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of our respective governments in the Central Government and the State Government and both Governments.
Gwalior, free from the compulsion and tendency of defecation in the open, this was a long cherished dream, it has also happened during this tenure. Gwalior is OD-free, this is also the result of the efforts of all of us. The citizens of Gwalior have become aware and have taken a significant part in this campaign and have played an important role in making clean Gwalior. All our citizens of all six wards of rural areas are especially eligible for this.
The time to come is full of limitless possibilities. Gwalior is fast moving towards development. Keeping in mind the expectations and expectations of the common man, I am presenting the annual budget of the year 2017-18 as the future plan.
